A Promise is Forever

It is truly something else to wake up having someone by your side that you thought eventually you would have to let go of. But then you have them holding you tight when you need it most, with a promise they whisper into your ear; "Everything will be ok, it doesn't have to be this way anymore and I can change." With words like that, your heart can melt. The hands that you thought could hurt you grab you tighter, pulling you in, warming up your whole heart and soul.  With every heartbeat that your heart makes, you grab tighter to the person that will always be within arms reach, almost as if it's a promise that you will never let go.
